The LaseMD thulium laser creates small micro channels in the skin without ablating the outer layer of the skin. Through these small channels, the active ingredients (called cosmeceuticals) can be applied directly into the deeper skin layers. There they can have a much stronger and faster effect than when they are applied just to the outer layer of skin. This is because the active ingredients do not have to penetrate the upper protective layer of the skin first but can act directly within the skin itself.

With this mode of operation the LaseMD in combination with the appropriate cosmeceuticals is ideal for the treatment of:

The LaseMD is a thulium laser that creates microthermal zones in the skin, through which selected active substances (called cosmeceuticals) can be directly transferred into the skin. Through this process the active substances can reach the deeper layers while bypassing the barrier layer of skin. We use different cosmeceuticals depending on the treatment goal.

We use different cosmeceuticals depending on the treatment goal. Possible cosmeceuticals include:

  • Tranexamic acid: ideal for the treatment of melama/chloasma and several other pigment disorders
  • Retinoic acid (vitamin A): ideal for the treatment of acne
  • Vitamin C (ascorbic acid): ideal als an anti-aging treatment for younger skin
  • Resveratrol: ideal as an anti-aging treatment for more mature skin

Clients who suffer from melasma/chloasma, different pigment disorders, sun damaged skin, acne and clients who desire an effective anti-aging treatment.

Direct sun exposure and sauna visits should be avoided directly before and after the treatment.

A numbing cream is put on to the skin for 30 minutes and then the LaseMD is applied. Usually we perform several passes during one session. Directly after the treatment the chosen cosmeceutical is brought into the skin via the created microthermal zones. The client also takes home the cosmeceutical product where it should be applied twice a day for two weeks.

The treatment is nearly pain-free.

Depending on the indication 1 – 3 sessions are needed. The results are usually visible from the second treatment.
